„Mater Messis”: in Latin means Mother of Harvest. By presenting a woman in symbiosis with nature, I want to emphasize the irreplaceable role of both in the further existence of mankind.While painting this picture, I thought about the present difficult situation of women in my country, Poland. Restricting women by a system of laws and prohibitions that bind them to decide about their own bodies, faiths and social and family position, I compare to the degradation of the natural environment on the Earth. With this painting I pay homage to both; the Woman and Nature, as the Sources of Life. Beauty and the need of both are the „Mother of Birth” (Mater Mesiss) of our existence. Especially my thanks go to very beautiful French model Karen Jgy , who let me use her image, and the French photographer Frederic Egli, the author of the Karen portrait, which became the inspiration for creating the image.

„Mater Messis”: to po łacinie Matka Urodzaju. Przedstawiając kobietę w symbiozie z naturą chcę podkreślić niezastąpioną rolę obojga w dalszej egzystencji rodzaju ludzkiego. Malując ten obraz myślałem o obecnej, trudnej sytuacji kobiet w moim kraju, Polsce. Ograniczenie kobiet systemem praw i zakazów zniewalających ich decyzje odnośnie własnego ciała, wyznań i pozycji socjalno rodzinnej porównuję do degradacji środowiska przyrodniczego na Ziemi. Obrazem tym oddaję hołd jednocześnie Kobiecie jak również Naturze, jako Źródłom Życia. Piękno i potrzeba obojga jest „Matką Urodzaju”( Mater Messis) naszej egzystencji. Szczególne podziękowania kieruję tu do bardzo pięknej francuskiej modelki Karen Jgy , która pozwoliła mi wykorzystać swój wizerunek, oraz do francuskiego fotografa Frederic Egli, autora porteru Karen, który stał się inspiracją do stworzenia obrazu.
